About The Taggart House
Welcome to The Taggart House. This stunning estate was constructed in 1850 by noted Stockbridge resident Henry Dwight Sedgwick. For over 150 years, several notables called The Taggart House home, including the psychologist: Erik Erikson. In the 1980s, The Taggart House was owned by the eccentric Rush Taggart, who gave the home its modern-day name. Serving as a Bed & Breakfast for much of the 2000s, The Taggart House was completely restored in 2014 by its current owners: the Manley family. The estate now serves as a vacation rental property with The Ballroom additional for pre-approved special occasions. Recently added to the National Register of Historic Places, The Taggart House combines fine 19th century architecture with luxurious comfort and modern amenities.
